Public Outreach Day 5

The 5th HAMLET Public Outreach Event will be organized by the German Aerospace Center, (DLR) on the 15th September 2011 at the Campus Rheinbach of the Bonn-Rhine-Sieg University of Applied Sciences. The event will illustrate the history and future development of human space exploration and address the following topics:

  • Human Space Exploration
  • Hazards from Space Radiation
  • From Apollo to the ISS
  • The Matroshka Project
  • How Do We Measure Space Radiation
  • To Moon, Mars and Beyond …

The above mentioned topics will be discussed in detail by members of the European HAMLET consortium. The event will be accompanied by a hands-on exhibition of space hardware.

Access to both the plenary talks and the public exhibition is granted free of charge.

The HAMLET Public Outreach Day is a joint event with the annual meeting of the Gesellschaft für Biologische Strahlenforschung e.V. Jahrestagung 2011.

The HAMLET project is funded by the European Commission under the EU’s
Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) and coordinated by the
German Aerospace Center (DLR)
